Here’s a few dates that you should know:

  • 2/26/2012: Oscars, plain and simple.
  • 3/20/2012: The Shins release their new album, “The Port of Morrow”. I have always been a big fan of the shins, so I am easily more excited than others; However, it seems to me as if they get better with each album they release. The group released one song to the public, “Simple Song”. It can be heard here; Just hit play. Typically, the pre-released song (in instances like this) tends to be good, but not the best of the album; I am anxious to see what the shins have in store for us this march. Preorder is available on Amazon and Itunes for only $10.99. I bought.
  • 4/1/2012: “Game of Thrones” premiers its second season. I excited watching the first season, and I can’t wait to see what is done with the second. Catch the first season before this date so you can keep up to speed with the series. I have to be curious as to whether or not this is a joke, being that it is premiering on April Fool’s day. Probably not though.

Today’s song is the same one found in the link above; “Simple Song” - The Shins.

About

Welcome to We Slept In Sunday. In general, I keep this blog focused around what I find to be interesting: music, current events, media, movies, photography/art, men’s fashion, philosophy, and a bit of politics when I find it necessary. Overall, however, I try my best to bring up and discuss what I find to me most appealing to you. One main cause drove me to start this blog; I regularly play violin, ukulele, and mandolin, and I feel like my connection to music isn’t necessarily better but instead different from the average individual. I hope that through the music that I post and the posts I make that you will see the connections I make with music and try to see everything in a new way. Look around for a song in every post; It's there, I promise.
